Sleep Disorders: Current Perspectives and Clinical Insights

This course offers a contemporary clinical overview of common and complex sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, and circadian rhythm abnormalities. Participants will explore the bidirectional physiological pathways linking chronic sleep disruption to cardiometabolic, neurological, and psychiatric morbidities. The curriculum provides practical frameworks for diagnostic evaluation—utilizing polysomnography and clinical screening tools—alongside evidence-based behavioral and pharmacological interventions to restore restorative sleep and improve patient quality of life.
