Dydrogesterone Uses in Threatened Miscarriage

Threatened miscarriage is a distressing condition that raises concerns about pregnancy viability. While progesterone therapy is commonly used, the effectiveness of oral dydrogesterone remains uncertain. This course evaluates its role in preventing miscarriage among pregnant women with threatened miscarriage. The findings reveal no significant difference in pregnancy continuation rates beyond 20 weeks between the dydrogesterone and placebo groups. Additionally, adverse events were comparable, suggesting limited benefit. These results underscore the need for further research to explore alternative therapeutic strategies for improving pregnancy outcomes.
